The sayings of Jesus will always have a greater impact on us the longer we study them. They take a lifetime to understand and apply. This is why Adult Education at Eden Church is so passionate about our task! The groups provide opportunities to connect, discover and grow together. We offer a wide range of sessions from being men of faith to parenting to prayer, or Bible verses while sharing a meal together. Sunday morning and evening, and weekday and evening groups are available. Please contact the church office for more information and a listing of current classes.
Adult Sunday School Class – The Book of Haggai
In the Book of Haggai, God promises His people that “I am with you always…Do not fear” as they set out to rebuild the temple. It’s still His promise to us as we build His church all over the earth. As we study the Book of Haggai, we will be reminded that God has given us a purpose to be part of the most magnificent building project imaginable, the church. Please join us on Sundays at 10:30a in Fellowship Hall to learn that God has given us everything we need, and we have nothing to fear. He is powerful. He is present. And He will build and bless His church.
Wednesday Morning Men’s Bible Study
The Men meet on Wednesday mornings at 6:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall and others join remotely by zoom. Breakfast is provided each week. The men are currently working through the New Testament letter of Hebrews and are using discussion questions provided by Pastor Roberts. You may join this study at any time. To receive the zoom meeting information or to receive a copy of the discussion questions please contact Pastor Roberts at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wednesday Night Bible Study of The Book of Ezekiel
Eden’s Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study Group will begin studying The Book of Ezekiel on Wed, February 1st. The messages of the prophet Ezekiel focus on the glory of God, the throne of God, and the honor of the name of God. When Ezekiel wrote his messages, the Jewish people were captives in Babylon and had become hard-hearted. God asked Ezekiel to do many unusual things to get the attention of the people so they would hear the Word of God. This message remains as relevant today as when it was first delivered as we examine Ezekiel’s mission to describe the indescribable, a God beyond imagining, a King worthy of our reverence. Our class meets on Wednesday’s at 7:00 pm in Classrooms 1302/1303. Contact Linda Romann (Mobile: 618-560-9532 / Email: email@example.com) for more information about our study.
Wednesday Bible Study 2
The Wednesday Evening Bible Study is reviewing each book of the Bible through viewing the “BibleProject,” which is a library of online videos that help explain the Bible as a story that leads to Jesus. The group is coupling these videos with reading “Know Your Bible-All 66 Books Explained and Applied.” The combination of the two provides an overview of each book in the Bible. We meet Wednesday nights at 7:00p through Zoom video conferencing. Please contact Denise Engelke at for more details on how to get involved. We hope to hear from you!
Friday Women’s Bible Study
Eden’s Friday Women’s Bible Study Group is studying Paul, His Life, and Teaching. The apostle Paul wrote many of the books in the New Testament. He led a dramatic and fascinating life from his conversion on the road to Damascus to his imprisonments to his speeches in the public square. His letters shaped the believers in the early church just as they shape us today. In this study, we will survey both the highlights of his life and the core teachings in his writings.
Our class meets at 12:30 pm on the second and fourth Fridays of each month in Classroom B/C. Contact Nancy Kruckeberg (Call or Text: 618-920-6941 / Email: firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information on joining our group.
